Crime and Punishment Stories of Lynn

King's Lynn

Come and join Vision Norfolk on a visit to Stories of Lynn Museum to learn about King’s Lynn’s dark past. There will be opportunities to explore the old Gaol House which was used for over 400 years to imprison Lynn’s notorious criminals, find out about the different types of punishment used in Medieval Britain, and handle historic objects such as handcuffs and truncheons to determine how such items have changed over time. There will also be an opportunity to speak with the knowledgeable Town Guides who will talk through some of the executions and punishments which were carried out in the town centre. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!

The event will be on Thursday 16th October from 10:30am until 12:30pm at Stories of Lynn, Saturday Market Pl, King’s Lynn PE30 5DQ. It is free to take part but donations are welcome.

To book a place by Wednesday 10th September please contact the Vision Norfolk King’s Lynn Hub on 01553 660808 or email [email protected]
