Gardening

Norwich

The GardenEyes are a group of keen gardeners with vision impairment. They meet up for garden related chats, participate in seed and plant swaps, go to gardens and garden centres, participate in flower arranging workshops and much more.

Allotment Project

In February 2025, we kicked off a special gardening project thanks to a Greening Our Communities grant from the Norfolk Community Foundation. With raised beds built by a member of Little Plumstead Men’s Shed and soil transported by members from the GoodGym, children, young people and adults with vision impairment planted seeds and transferred them to their new outdoor home. Since then, our service users have been tending to the plants weekly.

This project has been about more than just gardening. It’s supported wellbeing, confidence, independence, and social connection in a fun, inclusive outdoor setting.
