More than 30 vision impaired people and charity volunteers from Great Yarmouth have come together to celebrate this weekend’s coronation with a special tea party.
The event was organised by Vision Norfolk and held at its hub on Hall Quay in the town. The late Queen Elizabeth was Patron of the charity.
Guests dressed up in crowns and enjoyed Union Jack themed cakes, tea and coffee and a glass of fizz to toast the new King.
“We have a lively programme of social events here at the Great Yarmouth hub, and the coronation was too good an opportunity not to throw a party,” said Ed Bates, Great Yarmouth hub co-ordinator for Vision Norfolk.
“Our charity has a long association with the monarchy, and we were honoured that the late Queen was our Patron. The party was the perfect start to the coronation weekend.”
