Support our 220th Anniversary Fundraising Challenge

For 220 years, Vision Norfolk has been supporting people with sight loss in our local communities – and we couldn’t do it without incredible people like you!

With an estimated 38,000 people living with sight loss in Norfolk, and that figure set to double by 2050, we’re aiming to raise £220,000 so we can continue our work in the years to come. By fundraising now for Vision Norfolk, you’ll be helping us be there for the next generation.

Have fun, raise money, change lives!

Community fundraising is vital to our work, and it can be lots of fun too. Get together with family, friends or your work colleagues, and turn an activity into something amazing for people living with sight loss in your community. Every penny you can raise will make a real difference!

Take the 220 Challenge!

Every penny counts

You may raise just a little, or you might raise a lot. Whatever you’re able to achieve through your fundraising efforts, you’ll be doing something incredible. Here’s what your support could do.

£22

covers the cost of an outreach visit to help someone living with sight loss to access benefits, assistive equipment and health-related support so they can live independently at home.

£220

can fund an exciting social activity for children and young people, like karate or tubing – an opportunity for them to get together, have fun and make friends in a supportive environment.

£2,200

could provide a full year’s funding of our weekly crafting sessions, giving people with sight loss the chance to socialise and learn new skills like weaving, pottery and rug-making.

Just Financial Planning – a heroic effort

The heroic Just Financial Planning team in Coltishall went above and beyond, literally – by raising nearly £3,000 dressed as superheroes on a fundraising challenge. Climbing London’s O2 Arena alongside three vision impaired people from Norfolk, they proved that with the right support, anything is possible.

Clare – a brave swim for sight loss

Vision impaired fundraiser Clare McCarthy swam the entire length of Coniston Water in the Lake District to raise money to support people living with sight loss. Born with albinism, Clare tackled the 5.25-mile open water swim with a sighted guide, braving the cold and unpredictable conditions and raising an amazing £1,661 for Vision Norfolk!
