Activities for Children, Young People and Families

At Vision Norfolk, we believe that sight loss should never be a barrier to having fun, building confidence, or making new friends. Our activities are designed to be inclusive, empowering and, most importantly, enjoyable.

Tennis Session at the East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club (EATSC)

Fridays, 4:30pm-5:30pm

Our regular tennis sessions every Friday at 4:30pm – 5:30pm will be starting again! Ever fancied trying your hand at tennis and want to have a go. Now is your chance with this inclusive session run by Tennis Able Norwich. This is held at East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club (EATSC) on Lime Tree Road in Norwich. Ages 6+. There is a £3 cost to each session which is payable on the day.

Young Driver Session at The Norfolk Showground

Saturday 14th February, 10:30am-12pm

Back by popular demand! Enjoy a 30-minute session behind the wheel in a safe, supportive environment. A fantastic chance to build confidence and have fun! This is being held at the Norfolk Showground. Exclusive driving experience for those aged 10-17. They must also be 140+cm tall and have some sight. Spaces available: 4 at 10:30am & 4 at 11:00am — don’t miss out!

Apple Store Worksop

Monday 16th February, 10am-11am

Join our fun, hands-on Apple Workshop designed to explore powerful accessibility features for children aged 10+ and parents who want to learn together. Discover tools like VoiceOver, Magnifier, and Assistive Touch that make iPads and iPhones easier and more creative to use. No experience needed—just curiosity and a love of learning! Only 4 spaces remaining.

Hunstanton Sea Life Centre

Tuesday 17th February, Starting at 11am

Join us for a fun-filled adventure at the Hunstanton Sea Life Centre. Explore interactive exhibits, enjoy feeding sessions, and learn about marine life through educational talks. Touch starfish, crabs, and more at the touch pool, and see the beautiful seals. The address for the centre is Seagate Rd, Hunstanton PE36 5BH.

Kooth Online Parent Forum

Tuesday 10th March, Starting at 7pm

Kooth is a free, confidential online mental health service for young people. Available 24/7, it offers chat support, self-help tools and moderated forums. No referrals, no waiting lists – just easy access when it’s needed most. Find out how Kooth can support your child’s wellbeing at the online parent forum.

Hippodrome Circus

Tuesday 7th April, Starting at 1pm
Join us for a fun-filled trip to the Pirate Show at the Hippodrome Circus. Enjoy swashbuckling stunts, dazzling performances and family-friendly excitement. A fantastic day out with thrills, laughs and unforgettable moments. This will be at Great Yarmouth Hippodrome, St George’s Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2EU.

Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park

Friday 10th April, From 10:30am

Come along to an exciting trip to Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, located on Pannington Hall Lane in Wherstead, near Ipswich, Suffolk, IP9 2AR. Explore the park, meet over 100 animal species and even see majestic polar bears in The Lost Lands of the Tundra, part of Europe’s largest polar bear reserve. Spaces are limited so get in quick!
