Activities for Children, Young People and Families

At Vision Norfolk, we believe that sight loss should never be a barrier to having fun, building confidence, or making new friends. Our activities are designed to be inclusive, empowering and, most importantly, enjoyable.

Tennis Session at the East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club (EATSC)

Fridays, 4:30pm-5:30pm

Our regular tennis sessions every Friday at 4:30pm – 5:30pm will be starting again! Ever fancied trying your hand at tennis and want to have a go. Now is your chance with this inclusive session run by Tennis Able Norwich. This is held at East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club (EATSC) on Lime Tree Road in Norwich. Ages 6+. There is a £3 cost to each session which is payable on the day.

Christmas Train at Aylsham Station

Sunday 30th November, 10am-12pm or 12pm-2pm

We’re excited to invite you to our CYPF Christmas Train Experience, taking place on Sunday, 30th November at Aylsham Station. This magical two-hour event includes festive treats, a 30-minute steam train ride, and a special visit to Santa in his grotto. It’s a fantastic way for children and families to embrace the holiday spirit and enjoy a truly memorable experience together.

The train is accessible for wheelchair users, and the event is designed to be inclusive and family friendly. There are two time slots available for the train event: 10:00am and 12:00pm.

Christmas Party at The Vision Norfolk Norwich Hub

Sunday 7th December, 10:30am-2pm

The CYPF Christmas Party will take place on Sunday, 7th December, from 10:30am to 2pm at the Bradbury Activity Centre, Beckham Place, Norwich, NR3 3DZ. The party will be full of festive cheer, featuring a magical performance from Captain Fantastic, a visit from Father Christmas, and a delicious lunch for all attendees. It’s a great opportunity for families to come together, relax, and celebrate the season in a joyful and welcoming setting.

When responding, please include how many children will be attending and their. Please also share any or access needs. While parking on-site is limited, there is a pay-and-display car park just a short walk away on Edward Street. If you require disabled parking, please let us know in advance so we can try to accommodate you.

Teen Christmas Bowling at Hollywood Bowl Norwich Riverside

Thursday 11th December, Starting at 6:30pm

Strike Night! Join us for a fun 2-game bowling event for ages 13 and up. Show off your skills and enjoy some friendly competition! Don’t miss out on an evening full of fun, laughter, and strikes! Spaces are limited so please let me know if you would like to attend. This is being held at Hollywood Bowl Norwich, Riverside Development, 1 Wherry Rd, Norwich NR1 1WS

Christmas Celebration with Carols at The Vision Norfolk Norwich Hub

Wednesday 10th December, 2pm-4:30pm
Join Vision Norfolk for our annual Christmas celebration accompanied by singers from the Norwich Cathedral Chamber Choir followed by refreshments. This is for clients, volunteers and families to attend as a community. Spaces are limited so if you wish to attend, please let us know how many people are coming by 28th November. This is being held at the Bradbury activity centre, Beckham place, Norwich NR3 3DZ.

Circus Starr Show in Lowestoft

Friday 9th January, 4:45pm and 7pm

We have been kindly donated tickets for the Circus Starr in Lowestoft on Friday 9th January. There are 20 tickets available for the 4:45pm show and 20 tickets for the 7pm show. This is a wonderful, family-friendly event and a fantastic opportunity to experience the magic. The tickets are completely free and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please get in touch if you would like to claim your tickets. Please state which time you would like to attend and how many tickets you would like. There is a maximum of 4 tickets per family.
