SUPPORTING YOU

Telefriends

When you’re living with sight loss, just having someone to talk to can make all the difference. Our Telefriends service offers a free, friendly and confidential listening ear to anyone experiencing sight loss across Norfolk – for as long as you need it. Telefriends is not a professional advice or counselling service, but a chance to share, connect, and feel supported.

A meaningful connection

The same volunteer will call each week, giving you the chance to get to know each other over time.

Talk about anything

You can talk about whatever’s on your mind – whether that’s issues surrounding your sight loss or just everyday life.

Access to information

Volunteers have information about Vision Norfolk’s services and can recommend activities, answer questions or pass feedback to the right team members.

Trained volunteers

All volunteers are trained and DBS-checked, and many have personal experience with sight loss or work in other parts of the charity.

Reducing social isolation

This service is designed to help reduce feelings of loneliness and provide a regular source of friendly interaction.

How to access our services

If you, or someone you know is finding life difficult because of impaired vision, please get in touch.
