Vision Norfolk is seeking an experienced, creative, and dynamic Fundraising Manager to lead and shape our fundraising efforts as we strive to ensure that all people with a vision impairment can live independent and fulfilled lives. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead on innovative and transformative fundraising initiatives that will have a lasting impact on our organisation and the people we support.

About Vision Norfolk

For nearly 220 years, Vision Norfolk has provided essential services to people living with sight loss, empowering them to live independently through our community-based hubs in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, and King’s Lynn. Having recently launched an ambitious five-year strategy, we are committed to expanding our reach and developing new services that meet the evolving needs of the vision-impaired community in Norfolk.

As our new Fundraising Manager, you will play an integral role in the sustainability and growth of our charity. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the senior leadership team, your contribution will be key in advancing Vision Norfolk’s mission to reach more people and develop innovative services that meet the growing needs of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: You will develop and lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with our organisational goals, ensuring that we have a diverse and sustainable income base from multiple streams, including individual giving, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, major gifts, and grant applications.
  • Donor Engagement: Cultivate meaningful relationships with current and prospective donors, keeping them engaged and informed about the impact of their support. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our donor stewardship program to ensure long-term support.
  • Campaign Development: Oversee the planning and execution of high-impact fundraising campaigns, ensuring they are compelling and well-coordinated, with clear financial targets and strategic goals.
  • Event Leadership: Lead the organisation of a range of fundraising events (both virtual and in-person), designed to inspire engagement from the community and generate vital funds to support our work.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Take responsibility for preparing and managing the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while maximising income generation.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all fundraising activities adhere to relevant legislation and best practices, while also providing regular reports to senior management and trustees on fundraising performance and opportunities.
  • Innovation and Growth: Explore new opportunities and trends in fundraising, bringing fresh ideas to expand our reach and maximise our impact. Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding these initiatives across the organisation.
