Tennis
Gorleston
Give tennis a try at special sessions led by LTA-accredited coach Mike Reynolds. Vision Norfolk is partnering with Mr Reynolds and Gorleston Tennis Club to hold tennis sessions specifically designed for local people with living with sight loss.
We use special tennis balls, some have bells so they make a noise while others are larger so they move more slowly. Depending on the level of their vision impairment, players are allowed to let the ball bounce twice or even three times before hitting it to enable them to gauge where it is on the court.
Sessions take place at Gorleston Tennis Club on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10:30am until 12pm. Please be aware that we are not running transport from the hub, but there are local bus stops close by where staff can meet you if needed.
To get involved please get in contact with the Great Yarmouth Hub at 01493 745973 or [email protected].
