A special summer garden party to celebrate the 220th anniversary of a Norfolk charity is taking place on Sunday 20th July at the Bishop’s Garden in Norwich.
Vision Norfolk, which supports people living with sight loss throughout the county, was founded in 1805, and is marking the milestone with an afternoon of celebrations, thanks to the kind invitation of the Bishop of Norwich.
As well as the chance to see the stunning gardens, visitors will be able to enjoy live entertainment throughout the afternoon with music and garden games, as well as tea and coffee with delicious homemade cakes.
“This is a very special year for the charity, which is one of the oldest in Norfolk,” said Vision Norfolk chief executive Andrew Morter. “We have set ourselves a fundraising challenge with the aim of raising £220,000 in our anniversary year, to boost the support we give to people living with sight loss to live independent and fulfilled lives.
“We are extremely grateful to Bishop Graham for allowing us to hold our garden party in his stunning garden, and we are aiming to make it a real celebration both of what the charity does, and also the contribution that vision impaired people make to the life of Norfolk.”
Tickets to the garden party cost £5 and can be bought in advance at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/vision-norfolk-bishops-garden-220-summer-garden-party-tickets-1436506813549.
