Tip of the Month: Blind Person’s Allowance

If you live in England you may be able to claim Blind Person’s Allowance if you’re registered with your local council as blind or severely sight impaired and you have a certificate that says you’re blind or severely sight impaired.

Every year we sell Christmas cards to help raise funds to support our work. We love to showcase artwork created by local people with sight loss so we need you to send us your design for our 2025 Christmas cards.

Tip of the Month: Nimbus Access Card

The Access Card is created by disability social enterprise Nimbus. It is a disability identification card designed to easily communicate and verify your access requirements for a variety of events and venues.

Glaucoma is the name given to a group of eye conditions where there is damage to the optic nerve. It is caused by increased pressure in the eye, usually triggering slow loss of vision.
