Two Norfolk charities helping people living with sensory issues are coming together for a special session in Downham Market later this month when the West Norfolk Deaf Association attends a special meeting of sight loss charity Vision Norfolk’s ‘Macular and More’ club.
Macular and More is a monthly support group run by the charity to help people living with a range of sight loss conditions, including macular degeneration.
Because it is not uncommon for such people also to live with hearing loss, the special session will focus on the range of support that the two charities can offer.
The meeting takes place at Downham Market Methodist Church in the town’s Market Place on Tuesday 19th May from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. All are welcome to attend – no prior booking is necessary, just turn up.
Penny Whitby, West Norfolk Hub Coordinator for Vision Norfolk, said, “Our monthly Macular and More group at Downham Market has proven to be very popular, bringing a combination of support, information and friendship for its members.
“We are delighted to welcoming the West Norfolk Deaf Association to our May meeting, bringing together two of the county’s leading sensory support charities under one roof.”
