An Exhibition of Visual Art and Sculpture

As part of a project funded by the Platinum Jubilee Fund, Vision Norfolk would like to invite you to one of our exhibitions of our participant’s artwork.

The aim of this project was to raise awareness of people with visual impairment in Norfolk and also to celebrate their talents.  During the last three months participants have been working with artists and facilitators to create fabulous art and craft pieces. Working with Fiona Muller, Tim Edwards and Alison Kramarchuk they have used wool, canvas, tissue, clay, boxes and many other materials to come up with some expressive pieces of work using their craft skills and making pieces that reflect upon their visual impairment.  They have also carried out cooking workshops.  The workshops have been documented by photographers with visual impairment.

The exhibition also showcases  work produced by other designers and makers with visual impairment who are working in the region. There will be a creative practitioner and some participants on hand to demonstrate some of the skills they have learnt and to encourage the public to have a go at doing something different.

The exhibition is on the 15th-17th November 10am-4pm and 18th November 10am-3pm at Skippings Gallery, 133 King St, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2PQ. To find out more please contact Mark or Helen at 01603 573000 Ext. 341 or by email at [email protected].
