Sweet Briar Marshes Walk

King’s Lynn, Great Yarmouth

We are organising a walk with Norfolk Wildlife Trust at Sweet Briar Marshes. The marshes lie close to the centre of Norwich and feature 90 acres of fen, rough meadow, grazing marsh, old hedgerows and young woodland. Much of this land is designated in recognition of its value for wildlife, by Natural England as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and by Norfolk Wildlife Trust as a County Wildlife Site (CWS). Norfolk Wildlife Trust are currently in the process of planning public access to Sweet Briar Marshes in consultation with the local community.

The trip will be taking place on Thursday 17th August from 10am-4pm. Transportation can be provided from our community hubs in King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth.
