The Vikings - History on Your Doorstep Exhibition

The Vikings exhibition at the Ancient House Museum explores the exciting history of the Vikings in Thetford and the surrounding area and the impact of their presence and culture. Beautiful objects on loan from the British Museum alongside impressive Viking artefacts from the collections of Norfolk Museums Service and Suffolk County Council chart the Viking story in East Anglia – from the time of their initial raids along the east coast around 1,200 years ago, through 200 years of integration and settlement and the creation of an Anglo-Scandinavian culture.

The exhibition will include an object handling activity and visual description tour. Lunch will be available at the Bell Hotel, please get in contact for more details.

The event is on the 26th October. A minibus will leave the Bradbury Activity Centre, Beckham Place, Norwich, NR3 3DZ at 10 am returning by approximately 3.30pm.

The cost is £9 per person including museum entrance and the minibus.

To book by Friday 7th October please call Mark or Helen on 01603 573000 extension 341 or email [email protected].
